Archive Movements

The information on this page contains archive movements for almost every day going back to 1973, we hope with a little help to fill the last few gaps soon. Creating these drop-down menu's is one of our more technical achievements and as such there's a small chance the odd link might not work, we're 99% sure we've got it right but if you do come across a dead or inaccurate link, please contact us. Our next project will be to add movements going back to the sixties, this will be a long job as it will be taken from peoples personal log books, if you can help with any movements prior to 1973 please let us know no matter how few. We also have a huge list of movements for the bombing missions (serial, type, times bombing destination etc) flown during WW2, again a big job to collate it into an easy to read format. Another project we are working on is the addition of old airshow programmes, timetables, airport handbooks etc. these will be added in the coming months. Each time we update this page we will drop a note on the home page - Dave A.

Daily Movements (Sep 2006 - present)

Our website was started in September 2006 when I got one of the first SBS's on the market, the site was basic and provided limited daily movements but has grown to where it is now with a great deal of help and assistance from many local enthusiasts, airport employees and the airport management itself. These are the movements pages as covered by this website since our formation. We have most schedule & a number of visitor movements to add for May 2006 through to September 2006 these will be added as and when we can.

Teesside Air Letter Movements (Jan 1989 - Apr 2006)

When TAS ended Brian Hunter continued on providing a movements newsletter starting in January 1989  through to April 2006. Our thanks go out to Brian Hunter and Ian McMaster for providing the copies, scanning them all and allowing us to use them. These are full magazines opening in pdf files and contain not only movements for each day but articles and info on the airport.

Note the date shown in the drop down list is the date of the movement month, not the date of the magazine

Teesside Aviation Society Movements (May 1973 - Dec 1988)

This group was set up in March 1973 when TAAS disbanded, (we don't have any knowledge of this group at all)  providing movements, info on the airport and local area. There are also many interesting articles and trip reports some from members who are sadly no longer with us, hopefully this section is a tribute to them, I'm sure some of you will remember the names from our early days at the airport. Our thanks go out to Brian Hunter and Ian McMaster for providing the copies, scanning them all and allowing us to use them. These are full magazines opening as pdf files and contain not only movements for each day but articles and info on the airport.

We are missing the following mags can you help please get in touch if you can??

Mar - May 73, Aug 73, Nov 73, May - Oct 74, Dec 74, Mar & May 75, Feb 77, June 77, (we have the last two as part copies but require full ones)

Note the date shown in the drop down list is the date of the movement month, not the date of the magazine

Teesside / MSG Movements (prior to 1973)

This is work in progress, a section we hope to expand on this year, movements so far are mainly military going back to the RAF Middleton St George days, Ian McMaster has done a lot of work in this area, if you can help with any movements or pictures please let us know.
