Charity Night Shoot  25/02/22  DA/DR/CS

Our first Night Shoot on March 2018 was a great success, and more were planned until Covid got in the way. The eventual date was secured, and it was another great night, with the weather gods helping, with unusually still and clear conditions. This after an initial postponement from November after that date suffered every kind of weather imaginable! Wind, rain, snow - you name it!! In the end, the event was over-subscribed, and we plan to follow up with another one in the autumn. The nominated charity was the Great North Air Ambulance, to support the fantastic work they do over the north, without any government support!!

As is usual, the evening was informal, and the group moved along the stands shooting at will. A huge thanks to the following -

Chris Smith - His enthusiasm is legendary, and he looked a bit frazzled as he was on shift at the time!! Airport Fire Service - Wow, so helpful in providing light from their appliances, nothing was too much trouble! National Police Air Service - For flying up from Doncaster Sheffield especially for the event, and running both engines for that prop blur! FOTIA - For providing volunteer sheep herders for the evening and use of their Eventbrite account!! IAS Medical - For starting up G-IASB for that lovely prop blur! Eden Flight Training and Scenic Air Tours - for removing those annoying covers, and Eden for running G-BOXC!! Loganair - For holding after landing from LHR on taxiway Bravo (wonder what the passengers thought!!) TIA - For allowing a great un-restricted event, again!
