A Foggy Day in Yorkshire (by Chris Smith & Rob Smith)
Decided to have a drive out around South Yorkshire (&
briefly into the top end of Nottinghamshire) today. Knowing I wouldn't make much
as a logger & Rob would make even less as a photographer, a love of aviation was
the sole reason for this trip.

Noted whilst passing Dishforth were 2x Lynx & possibly 2x Puma - this would
make sense as two Puma's were noted on OtNE a couple of times during the
previous day, so I've put them in tentatively.

Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield

First stop was at Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield, after resisting the urge to drive the car into the Peel Head Office, we made it to the Cessna Citation Service Centre, where the Hangar was closed up so we went to reception & tried to talk our way in - as you might imagine it didn't work, but fortunately, behind the reception desk is a window into the Hangar, so whilst it was not good for Rob for photos, I made a few!

I wasn't sure if time permitted us to make it as far South as Gamston, I still wasn't sure when we left DSA but in the end I thought b******s to it, we'll go! So we went off to Diamond City, where once again, we tried talking our way into a tour of the airfield - we were a little more successful this time however as they said no to a tour but let us into the Tower to photograph!

I was 99% sure we'd be allowed to wander around freely here as I've been before & that's what happened, I was right as well, we showed our DTVA Enthusiast ID cards which they accepted, handed us florescent jackets & off we went! Unfortunately some hangars were closed up but we were more than happy with what we got.
